Living
and Teaching in Taiwan
Located
in Asia, Taiwan’s economy is just behind Japan and Hong Kong in
development. With the
joining of WTO, English is every important in the community. However, the education in English did not catch up with the
development in economy. Therefore,
there are a lot of private kindergarten and tuition providing
enforcing classes in addition to the public school to help people
wanting to improve their English. As matter of fact, there are many foreigners came to Taiwan on
tourist visa became English teachers unexpectedly. It really envies the local Taiwanese.
These foreigners can tour around while teaching. Indeed, to you who is filled with curiosity about the
mysterious east, teaching in Taiwan is really a wonderful thing.
Except at least NT$50,000 per month income, you could also have
friends from all over the world. For the money you earn, only 6% is taxable at this level
(If you work more then one year then you don’t have to pay tax). You can save
a lot of money, at the monthly expenses is less than NT$20,000, unless
you want to spend them all. You
can enjoy the life in Taiwan. Though
the island is small, there are a lot of activities you can participate
and experience the different excitement, be it in the daytime or at
night. If you feel that
one year in Taiwan is enough, we can also introduce you to other
countries like Mainland China, Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia, etc.
Please enjoy your trip to Asia.
